How to Play
The stages of a frog's life cycle appear in a shuffled order. Tap each stage card in the correct order from beginning to end - from frog spawn through tadpole stages to adult frog and back to new eggs.
Each correctly placed stage slots into a circular diagram with a satisfying animation, gradually completing the full life cycle ring. A wrong selection shakes the stage and returns it to the pool. The game uses the sorting engine so cards can be dragged or tapped into order. Complete the sequence to win!
What Kids Learn
Life cycles are one of the defining concepts of biology - the understanding that living things reproduce and that each generation passes through a predictable sequence of stages. Studying a concrete, familiar example like the frog's life cycle gives children a template for understanding all life cycles, from butterflies to plants to humans.
The circular diagram reinforces that a life cycle has no true beginning or end - a profound concept that children can grasp intuitively when it is presented visually. This cyclical thinking is also relevant to understanding the water cycle, food chains, and seasonal changes.
Tips for Parents
If possible, raise tadpoles at home or in the classroom - it is one of the most powerful science experiences available to young children. Even a simple internet search for "frog life cycle video" gives children the moving images that make the concept come alive. Ask your child to describe what changes at each stage and why those changes help the frog survive - this "why" questioning builds scientific thinking habits.
