How to Play
Each question comes with a 10-second animated timer bar that fades from green to red as time runs out. Choose the correct answer from four options before the bar empties. Answer correctly and your streak counter goes up. Reach a streak of 2, 3, or 4 correct answers in a row and your score multiplier increases - every question you answer while on a streak of 4 earns 4x points!
The game has 15 questions per round covering addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Time running out counts as a wrong answer and resets your streak. There are no lives - the challenge is maximising your score through accuracy and speed.

Mental maths fluency - the ability to recall arithmetic facts instantly without deliberate counting - frees up cognitive resources for more complex problem-solving. This game builds that fluency by rewarding speed alongside accuracy, gradually pushing children to retrieve facts automatically rather than calculating them.

If your child is still building table knowledge, play Multiplication Grid first. Once they are ready for the Race, celebrate improvements in highest streak rather than absolute score. The multiplier mechanic means a child who answers steadily correct will outscore a child who answers randomly fast.
